Loss of energy and increase of emotions
Feeling drained and at times weak
Nobody in this world to help me stand up
All the while knowing You are the one I’m to seek

My back is always facing towards you
I shouldn’t be the one leading, it’s you
I treat You like a book on a shelf
Collecting dust, untouched and without any use

Farther and farther I run away,
The devil has me in his grasp.
You’re pulling me back, it’s a tug-of-war
But the temptations get to my head real fast

Alcohol, drugs, creating gangs that deceive
Overcome my time once reserved for you
The pressure and temptations seem to mute your voice
That’s directing the righteous things I should do

Destroying my body and destroying my life
There’s not much left for me to find.
My relationship with you is crumbled to pieces
Everything I once had, now left behind.

When all is empty and hopeless
You voice begins to get more clear
I recognize that voice, sounds so familiar
It’s the voice of whom I should fear

"Turn around", is what I heard
Obeying this order, I made a 180 degree turn
There I saw God standing arms open
But what appeared in my head was the devil's concern

But the darkness swarms around me
My new life is sucking me inside
Your strength charges me, telling me to break through
Because you’re with me; the safest place to hide.

Confusion breaks out, being possessed by the demons
That names themselves as hate and depression.
You pour out your love, mercy and strength
And pushed away my nasty obsessions.

The layer of who I am now, torn away
Revealing who I once was when you were a part of me
All evil and darkness that was once within
Are released and now free

Closer and closer I am drawn to you
I’ve broken free from the devil’s grasp
In your arms, never to go alone through war
Your love; forgiveness and grace grew on me fast.

Destroying my past and the devil’s evil creation
Now I know what I’m to find
It’s your unconditional love and righteousness
I’m following only your lead, right behind.

I just wanted to share something I've learned today to some of you : Credits to Jennessa :)
Kinda long but hopefully it's worth reading?

So it's about traumatic experiences and how God heals you.
So we've all been through a time in our lives that make us feel scared, depressed, and likely is difficult to forgive others, ourselves, and forget.
So, how can we/God heal ourselves from these traumatic experiences?

Healing Process:
1) Recognize God's Presence
2) Recreate The Scene
3) Relive In The Presence of Divine Love

So for 1):
You have to know that God was there with us all the time. Some people ask: "God where were you when this happened to me?" But really, he was there with us the whole time. Remember that he brings the good out of the bad.

2):
PETER'S HURT
God heals us by recreating the scene. A good example would be -- of course from the bible.
When Peter denies Jesus. Jesus identifies his betrayer, Peter and says to him that before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times. Yet, Peter says, No Lord, I will folow you to prison or to death.
Some points to remember if you read this passage
- Before the rooster crows - when reading this we know that this happened BEFORE dawn, because in the morning, that's when the rooster crows am I right?

One more thing to read would be WHEN Peter denies him. So Jesus gets arrested and whatnot and gets taken away by the guards and Peter follows him in the distance. So people asked him,
1- Surely this man was with him also - Peter replies, "I do not know the man"
2- (this was around a fire with coals and Peter was warming himself up) A woman says to him that Peter was with Jesus. and Peter denies that he does now know Jesus at all.
3- THIRD time, someone claims that Peter is one of Jesus' disciples and while Peter says, "I'm not one of his disciples" the rooster crowed and Jesus looked back at him and Peter remembers what Jesus said to him and he went out and cried bitterly
By this you can tell Peter was hurt.

Points to remember
- Fire, coals.

Okay, so how did God recreate the scene?
PETER'S HEALING
Well, after God was raised from the dead, he showed himself to the disciples for the third time and yet they do not know that it was him.
So, first they recognized that it was Jesus - his presence.
It was before morning and they were fishing and they could not catch anything. Jesus asked them to eat with him.
* So, it was at dawn - just like when Peter denied him. *
So they were near a fire with fish and bread to eat which Jesus had brought.
* Fire and coal - just like when Peter denied him, he was warming himself *
So Jesus asked him, Do you Love me?
Peter answered, Yes you know that I love you.
Second time, Jesus asked Do you love Me?
Peter answered, "Yes Lord You know that I love you."
and for the THIRD time, Peter, son of Jonah (I think that's what it says in the bible :S) Do you love me?
and Peter says, "Lord you know out of all things, I love you."

So this is God's 3 Fold Confession Love (I think that's what it's called. LOL)

BUT
Is you translate this to Roman (Or was it Greek? D:)

Jesus asked Peter DO YOU LOVE ME - But the love he was talking about translated as AGAPE which means unconditional/ unfailing love.
and Peter replied, You know that I love you- THe love he's talking about is called PHILEO which basically means, I LIKE YOU, or I love you God, But I can never love you the way you have loved me.
Same thing for the second.
But for the third, Peter finally understood. Because before he just focused on HIS love for Jesus, and not God's love.

- Like when he said: I will never betray you. I will follow you to death.

So PETER finally understood and so, for the third time Jesus asked Peter he put himself at Peter's level and asked him DO YOU PHILEO LOVE ME?
and peter said yes. I phileo love you.

and soooo that's how God recreated the scene. So now that Peter understands Jesus' love for him he can RELIVE IN THE PRESENCE OF DIVINE LOVE.

What do we have now that Peter did not have?
A: HOLY SPIRIT.

becaaaause, when God was raised from the dead to heaven, he sent the holy spirit down to dwell upon us.

And soo. remember that God is there with us at all times.

&& to Close off this note, Jennessa told us a story that reallllllllllllllllllly touched me LOL.
About a girl who wanted to commit suicide - family issues.
and she was cutting her wrists and she could have died but she didn't cos she didn't cut deep enough. So she went to hospital. One day she heard a message similiar to the one I just retold. and she asked herself "God, where were you during that time I was commiting suicide?"
God brought her to the same place in her mind back to when she was cutting her wrists.
He said to her, "I was there alll along. Can you see me?"
and she did see Him.
God said, "I was there with you, helping you cut your wrists, but not deep enough you could still live"
(My wording might be messed up. LOL it might sounds weird, but hopefully you get the idea.)

And so ONE MORE THING, my bad.
HOW DO WE GUARD OUR HEARTS FROM TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCES?
1) Recognize his presence.
While you're going through something, look from God's eyes/perspective, not yours.
2) Knowing God forgave us & others.
Whoever was with you that maybe caused that moment (yourself or others), forgive them/yourself. Because God did, so you should do. If you can't, that's like saying your standards are higher than God's
3) Trust in God, he will take care of the rest.

I dreamt I was in heaven
Down on my knees
Kneeling before God
Waiting patiently

He was looking in his book
Where He would record
All of my wrongs and doings
The goods would also be stored

Will I make it through heaven's gates?
I thought to myself
What about the times I lied and disobeyed
It's too late now, it can't be helped

I should've acted sooner
Then I wouldn't be in this situation
I'm not worthy of being saved
Yet He made me as His creation

He shook His head and said
"I feel I have a concern
It seems you lived to pleased yourself
Even after all you've learned"

I hung my head in shame
Wishing I had another try
To live my life for God
From birth to the day I die

I cried and wept
Knowing He sacrificed his only son
I took it as an advantage thinking
He'd clap his hands saying 'Well Done'

He said, "You forgot that I first loved you
Did you not have trust?
I gave you things others did not have
Yet you still made a fuss

"When you cried, I brought you joy
The times you fell, I picked you up
Through all the suffering and pain
I was by your side, so you could feel more tough"

God's words hit me
For they were very true
I'd only thought about possessions that don't matter
I was such a fool

If only I'd realize sooner
That if I had faith in my actions
And loved the Lord with all my heart
He would have blessed me with everything I was lacking

What God said next surprised me
"This is a warning, to redeem your actions
You have another chance back on earth
And change some things that had happened

"Therefore be prepared for the real coming
Everything you do will be taken for account on earth
A small sin or a big one
They all have the same worth

"Show that you will live in My name
Love others, like I have loved you
I am in the midst of everything
Trust Me, in everything you do

Do not strain yourself to make things better
Surrender your burdens, all your pain shall die
Place me in the centre of your life
Focus on me; no more me, myself and I's

Do not be so self concsious
There is no need to impress by acting mature.
Look around, you are always being blessed
with everything that is better for your future"

My eyes welled up with tears of joy
"Yes Lord, you'll be the one where I fix my eyes
I trust in You, I will show your love
To the world."
I said in reply

With that, I had awoken
The dream felt so real
I felt reborn again, brand new
God's words has changed my life and the way I feel

In reality, there's no second chances
So, I shall praise and worship only him
Yes He will be centered in my life
Because of God, my life is no longer a dim

Yes, I tell all of you:
God is here
Choose to believe, & see His love for yourself
'Cause He remains. For eternity.

I'm sick of all the criticism
It's amazing God endured all that
For us, He suffered
Why can't you see that?

God is here
It's the truth...He is truth
Countless times, we sin. We never think of Him.
He's just pushed aside, never thought of. But why?

Often times we forget. We get depressed.
We feel lonely, and we doubt
Crying, "Why, Oh Lord did you leave my side?"
But He never left. He was with you this whole time.

Yet He's still there.
In fact, He still is. So do not worry...
He'll never leave you.
Forever, God is here.

For Eternity...

Love shouldn't be confused about
What comes to mind when love is said?
Candlelight dinners and starry-eyed gazes?
No, it's far more than romantic thoughts & feelings
Love isn't a toy, nor is it something to fall in and out of
How can one say they've been in love?
Have they experienced true love?
Have they experienced God in their life
Or even felt his warm comforting embrace?
The point to get across is that God is love
When we're frustrated, love is patient.
Love is kind when other are unkind
It seeks the good in others and is never jealous
It is forgiving and keeps no records of wrongs.
Isn't God the same?
Cherish love & reclaim it for where it really applies
It isn't there to be thrown around casually
So what is love?
Everyone's view is different, agreed?
Try to view it from God's perspective
And He will define it for you.

Life is ruled by
What if's
If only's &
I Wishes

It seems that possesions are things that give us contentment
Cars, money, clothes, bags & jewelry
Where does God come in?
Do these things really give us true happiness?

It shouldn't be based on what you have
Or what your situation is
It shouldn't be a chain of desires
That never take you to your full satisfaction

Then what is it?
How do we get happiness?

Need I even ask? Genuine contentment is found in knowing Jesus
You just need to trust that he's given you what you need
And that he has a plan for you
That is where satisfaction lies

When you know Jesus--love him
You will be content no matter what
What you see on TV and magazines that make you say, "I want that" won't even matter
He will bless you with everything

Focus on Jesus &
What he wants you to do
Not what you wish you had
God should always be #1 in your heart.

P.S. I'm not saying you can't desire things. We're all human, we all want things right? But if this is all we focus on...yeah. I can't explain it. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
So let's say you really want this car. and you can't afford to buy it.
You want it so bad, you like work overtime and everything just to get the money. You focus so much on this one car, you get all tired out, your relationship with God is like falling apart, you skip church to work.
THAT'S WRONG.
Instead, you want the car but you focus on Jesus. Your relationship with God is still the same. You don't do everything in your power to get that car, that results in your relationship with God to crumble into pieces. The End.

What does it mean to fear the Lord?
It's like sitting with "the" guy/girl at school
Now why would they be talking to you?
You're just a lowly average person who's not "that" cool

This person has it all, looks, smile, hair.
He/She has a charming/cute personality, some would say
Out of all--the entire school
He/She decides to talk to you, strange eh?

Wouldn't you be nervous?
Stumble on your words?
Forget how to breathe?
Or maybe even swallow?

This is kind of what it means to fear the Lord.
This still doesn't even come close
God's way more better than the top girl/guy in High school.
and plus, he doesn't even boast.

So yes, what does this show?
It shows you recognize his superiority
And that you have the utmost respect for him.
He wants you to look at him knowing he has authority

He's infinitely worthy of your respect.
Fearing Him is giving Him honor and admiration
We should always look at him with wonder and awe
He wants YOU to be his close relation

What do you get out of this, you might ask?
Well, you grow more & more beautiful everyday
Not physically but emotionally
You develop an inner beauty that never fades

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Proverbs 31:30
Just reading this makes me amazed.
